Manolo Franco Solea intro
I made a transcription of Manolo Franco´s introduction in the Solea recording below.
This intro is a variation on a very common idea por Solea, the arpegiation of a tonic Eb9 chord.
The basic idea is this:
And this is what Manolo made:
After this the introduction is continued with a short falseta.
This falseta is built upon moving from E Phrygian to B Phrygian and back again.
The Solea introduction is concluded with a remate:
PS A similar idea, of switching modes, I have heard Manolo use in Solea por Bulerias. Then the switch is between A Phrygian and A Major.
